There’s something about lemon that instantly makes a simple routine feel fresh and intentional. For this spring-inspired version of my homemade lip scrub, I added fresh lemon juice and zest for a brighter, more refreshing twist on the original recipe.

I usually make small batches like this in a simple glass jar so it’s easy to store in the refrigerator and reuse throughout the month. A lemon zester makes it easy to get fresh zest without the bitter white peel, and I use a small lemon squeezer to quickly add fresh juice without seeds. For this version, I also used Manuka honey for an extra rich, nourishing feel.
