Peanut butter is one of those things you don’t think twice about buying until you realize it’s just peanuts. One ingredient, a few minutes, and you have something better than anything from the store.

Why I Like Making It at Home

There’s something grounding about making a staple from scratch, especially when it’s this simple.

  • Simple: only one ingredient
  • All natural: no added seed oils or preservatives
  • Budget-friendly: one bag of peanuts can make several jars
  • Easy to customize: creamy, chunky, sweet, or salty

This is one of those small shifts that makes everyday life feel a little more intentional.

What You Need

2–3 cups roasted peanuts

Optional:

  • pinch of sea salt
  • honey for a little sweetness
  • a small spoon of coconut oil or olive oil for extra creaminess

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups roasted peanuts

  • Transfer to a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Roasted peanuts give the best flavor
  • Blend longer for extra creamy
  • Making it for your dog? Skip all add-ins and use plain peanuts only
  • Double batch and give some to friends or family
